Welcome to my portfolio!
My name is Molly Nye and I graduated in the winter of 2019 with a major in studio art from Lawrence University. During my junior year in college, I developed a love and fascination for graphic art and marketing when I took my first printmaking class. I then decided to apply for an internship in Jacksonville, FL at an advertisement agency called Burdette Ketchum. At BK I was lucky enough to intern under Patrick Golden, the creative department director. I had no prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite besides a 60 minute tutorial my school had offered one afternoon, and therefore, was a total novice. My training was heavily focused in Adobe Illustrator but I also learned the basics of Adobe Photoshop as well. Since my internship, I have been self teaching myself new tips and tricks through tutorials I've found online. If there's one thing I've learned from my art major journey, it's that the more you practice, the more you grow as an artist. I am determined to continue growing in this field and I am looking to pursue a career down the path of innovative art.
In each section of my portfolio, you will find digital art I created during my internship at Burdette Ketchum as well as some magazine ads I created during my most recent internship at Katie Leede & Company (an interior design studio. I've also included some of my personal art as well. All works are completely original and were created in Adobe Creative Suite.
